Nutritional Update: The Gossip on Protein

An apple a day

This month our budding nutritionist Holly shares the secrets and importance of protein in our diets. Click here to find out more.

Parking Frustration

Parking Frustration

At different times of the day and different days parking can present a challenge.  We know that and here is what we have done:

  • No Active Team Members are permitted to park on site;
  • We have combined parking spots with Simbiosi Café, to provide us more spaces;
  • We have our landlord, periodically police our parking spots with a security guard at $500 a day;
  • We have all our Team aware of cars that park all day and we leave notes on the cars

We are attempting to come up with a ‘Green Membership.’  This will be a cheaper membership if you come to North Ryde via public transport and left your car at home.  We are working on the conditions of this membership but hope to announce this by the end of the year.

We are also doing ‘contra-deals’ with companies in the area.  This is where they give us access to their parking outside of 8am to 5pm, for which they receive free membership.  We currently have one company that allows this for us and we are speaking with several others.  As soon as we have a resolution we will let you know.  If you would like to contra-deal parking for membership, please chat with Stacey.

You can of course park in any of the local company’s parking lots, the Marriott or even the McDonald’s parking across the road.  But we cannot promote this and if you do so, you could receive a note on car window.

Finally, can we remind you of some very close places to park, if you cannot park directly out of the front:

  • Parking is available at the short end of Talavera Road – this is just 3 minutes walk from the gym;
  • Parking is available 7am to 7pm on Talavera Road, out the front of Sanofi-Aventis building – this is just 3 minutes walk from the gym;
  • Parking is available in Khartoum Road – this is just 6 minutes walk from the gym; and
  • Parking is available in Fontenoy Road – this is just 8 minutes walk from the gym.

Beginning next month – as we will have the reports established – we will publish in our e-news every month, the busiest days and times at the club.  This will help you plan your work-outs.

We can only apologise for the parking issues but there are plenty of options available to you just some not as convenient as we all would like.  But consider the walk, your warm up!

We will keep you posted on any changes that come about.

Reflexology is Coming!

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the principle that certain parts of the body reflect the whole. These points can be found in the feet, hands, and ears! These points respond to pressure and can stimulate the natural healing patterns of the body.

Reflexology is available between 4pm and 8pm on June 19th.  Your investment is just $50 and we have only limited spots, so book now!  Email us now and let us know what time you would like your appointment.  Email now

We’re Asking You to Please Be Fair

We provide ongoing training to our team to ensure we improve our service to you when handling your queries, complaints and feedback.

Our Team are more then happy and prepared to listen to your suggestions and even your venting.  They understand this is part of working in customer service.  But what is unfair is being abused.

There are some complaints we can definitely resolve but there are some that we simply cannot.

We know we are providing you a service and the customer is always right and all the other adages that are rolled out in regard to customer service but we would ask that you be fair to our Team Members.

In an 8 hour shift, Ann-Marie, Lisa, Karen or Holly will welcome over 200 members with a smiling face and a greeting that makes many people’s day – we know because we receive feedback on telling us

But 10 to 15 people think that as members they have a right to abuse our Team if they cannot park out the front or that the traffic on Talavera Road was so busy it took them 15 minutes to get in the driveway.

We receive such awesome feedback on how great our Team are, we felt it was important to share with you that we cannot keep the great Team if they are abused.  It simply does not make it fun to come to work and we are trying to make work fun.

We really want to know what you would like us to do to improve.  So please give feedback and suggestions but please do not abuse the Team.
