Member of the Month – Louise

Member of the monthLouise Kanjee was the March Member of the Month.

Louise’s regular attendance, commitment to her training, friendly personality and overall attitude made her the obvious choice this month!  And the really cool thing was the day we told her was her birthday!

Active Olympics

FitRewardsHere is your chance to get motivated through April & keep you on track when the Easter Bunny is calling . . . the Active Olympics!  This cardio challenge is free to enter and you are only competing against yourself!

Starts: 2nd April
Ends: 29th April
To do: Each work out try and go a little further on the bike, treadmill, cross trainer or rower than you did on your previous work out.  With the end goal to reach a Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal!
Reward: Just by enrolling you get 100 FitReward Points
Work out 12 times in April and gain another 250 Fitreward Points
Achieve a medal level and you receive another 150 Fitreward Points

Corporate Boot Camp

If you would like a Corporate Boot Camp for your company we can organise this for you! What a great team building activity. We need just a minimum of 4 from a company and we can have up to 24 in a Boot Camp. If you company is interested contact Duncan.

Adieu Av!

AvThis month kind of say farewell to Av.  We always encourage our Team to develop themselves and Av is starting up his own Personal Training business.  This is very exciting for him and also for us, as he will doing at the Club.  You will now see Av wearing a red shirt as he trains his clients.  If you are interested in Personal Training with Av chat with him directly!

 

Updated Exercise Recommendation for Type II Diabetes

 

The American Diabetes Association announced in January that most people with Type II Diabetes should:

  • Accumulate 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every week or 90 minutes of high intensity;
  • Complete strength training 3 times per week

If you know anyone with Type II Diabetes or who has been warned by their doctor that they pre-diabetic, it does mean the end of the world.  It simply means they need to start exercising.

This month, anyone pre-diabetic or diabetic has FREE access to the Club!  We will show them how easy exercise can be. So please spread the word and ask them to call us first to make a time for a get together with one of our Team.

  • 30 minutes of fun and challenging work outs
  • Each time slot will have a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 16

Sporting achievements : Coming 1st in the national schools triathlon in year 12 and Overall 3rd place in the Kurnell triathlon series for age group 15-17 years.
