We have new, exciting classes starting up and a couple of great offers this month for you!

A HUGE congratulations to all the ladies who competed in their first run at the Mother’s Day classic! It’s a different feel when you are running in a race, finding your pace amongst the pack and pushing yourself to the limit (but not too far too early). All our entrants did really well, especially Katherine who also managed to take home first prize in the Tupperware raffle! My hubby also won a brilliant pair of Brooks trainers.

New Class

So many people have been telling us they need a Babes bootcamp style class for their mums!  Here it is!

Training for City to Surf

Sarah Whitehead

Consistency and commitment

The most important part of a running program is consistency.  The most effective way to improve running fitness is by training consistently over a number of months.  Aim to participate in 1-3 running sessions per week.  One or two of these may need to be on your own or with a buddy.

The real stuff

Many people regularly consume products full of artifcial sweeteners, believing if something has 'no sugar' then it must be better for you in terms of weight loss. Diet soft drinks, cordials, chewing gum, protein bars, desserts, sweets, the list is growing.

Recipes

I keep hearing horror stories about the additives in food and was surprised to find a preservative found in some crumpets can actually cause quite severe reactions. See the book FOOD ADDITIVE ALERT for more information.
